It is important to have a will so that you are the person who decides how your property is distributed after you pass away. It is also important that your wishes are made known in a legally effective way regarding the care of your children. A simple will can accomplish these objectives. Without a will, these decisions are made by the state of New York and by relatives. Those decisions will not always be the same as you would have made.
I prepare simple wills for my clients, with personal attention, at a reasonable fee.
